Support for the Audiovisual Industry PBC-FDC (Film Development Fund) In 2011, at the initiative of the National Council for the Arts and Culture in Cinematography (CNACC), Proimágenes Colombia, as administrator of the Film Development Fund (FDC), signed an agreement with COLFUTURO to support, with FDC resources, Colombian professionals pursuing graduate studies in fields related to the film and audiovisual sector, leading to a master’s or doctoral degree abroad. Individuals selected for the Loan Scholarship Program (PCB) may be eligible for an additional debt forgiveness of up to nine thousand dollars (US$9,000) using FDC funds or in accordance with the amount determined by the CNACC. To qualify for debt forgiveness under this agreement, beneficiaries must meet the forgiveness conditions outlined in the PCB regulations. To be eligible for this benefit, the candidate must have applied to the PCB call for applications, hold an unconditional letter of admission at the time of application, and begin the study program no later than the month of May following their selection as a PCB beneficiary . Under the COLFUTURO- FDC agreement, program changes are not permitted, and selection is not retroactive, as it is conducted annually among the beneficiaries of the current Call for Applications for the Loan Scholarship Program. Other Support COLFUTURO promotes the development of the country’s strategic sectors through national partnerships that complement the benefits of the Loan Scholarship Program. Within this framework, the agreement with the Film Development Fund (FDC) provides additional support to professionals in the audiovisual sector when they repay their scholarship loan.
