COLFUTURO Yearbook Selection 2026

At COLFUTURO, we support Colombian professionals who dream of transforming their future by pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree in any field of study, or a medical specialty, at the world’s most academically prestigious universities. This is a national initiative, initially developed jointly by the public and private sectors, and currently sustained by the commitment of the beneficiaries, who, by repaying their scholarship loan, contribute to Colombia’s progress and that of future generations. The Loan Scholarship Program funds on-campus, full-time programs abroad lasting between 9 and 24 months. It provides a loan of up to US$50,000, 25 % of which can be converted into a scholarship if the recipient meets the following requirements: • Graduating with a master’s or doctoral degree in any field of study, or a medical specialty. • Return to the country and remain there for three years (36 months). Key features of the Scholarship program • Recipients have the flexibility to allocate the requested amount toward tuition, insurance, housing, materials, and living expenses. • Upon completion of their studies within the established timeframe, they are entitled to a one-year (12-month) grace period before beginning to make the corresponding payments. • Upon completing their studies within the established timeframe, they are entitled to a grace period before beginning to make the respective payments. • They may remain abroad for up to 3 years and then return to Colombia to fulfill the residency requirement in the country.
