COLFUTURO Yearbook Selection 2026

Language Program Established in 1996, this program offers the opportunity to study English, French, or Italian—for academic or professional purposes—at leading universities and institutes in ten countries. These institutions have agreements with COLFUTURO, through which they offer tuition discounts to all applicants who apply through the Foundation. In this way, we support the growing need to learn a second language—a skill that is becoming increasingly essential for taking advantage of the professional and academic opportunities available to those who are fluent in another language. To date, more than 3,000 Colombians have benefited from these programs, which include the following: • Support. Experts from the Foundation assist interested individuals throughout the entire admissions process, free of charge. Two informational sessions are offered each month: on the second Saturday of the month at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom (at www.colfuturo.org ) , and on the last Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. via Instagram Live on the @colfuturo account. • Coverage. Currently, the Foundation offers 53 partnership agreements in 10 countries: the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Malta, Italy, France, Ireland, and Switzerland. The partner institutions are of high quality and offer intensive programs, ensuring effective learning. • Quality of Institutions. The universities and academic institutions with which COLFUTURO has agreements employ instructors with master’s degrees in language teaching. In addition, most are in small cities, which enables constant language practice. • Program Costs. The cost varies depending on the destination and the program’s duration. This information can be found in the cost simulator available on the website under the “Language Programs” section. It is important to note that COLFUTURO does not offer financial aid through this program; rather, it arranges for a discount—ranging from 8 % to 50 %—granted directly by the institution to the student after they are selected in one of the annual application rounds. • Application Rounds. There are four application rounds per year (in January, April, June, and September). The only requirement to apply for the Language Program is to be at least 18 years old. COLFUTURO 76
