Academic Counseling and International Relations The Academic Counseling department supports, promotes, and advises Colombian professionals who wish to pursue a graduate degree abroad on their life plans. This is achieved through a series of free activities that provide information and tools to help each candidate to choose a program aligned with their personal, academic, or professional interests. Services offered by COLFUTURO are available on our website: • Group academic counseling. These sessions are organized by field of study and are held in person or online. • Informational sessions on the Loan Scholarship Program. In- person and virtual sessions for students and professionals interested in learning about the terms and features of COLFUTURO’s Loan Scholarship Program (PCB) to finance their graduate studies abroad. • Informative webinars. Events with universities, government representatives, and international institutions, during which they present their academic offerings, application processes, and funding sources. • Regional Roadshow. We visit various cities in Colombia, accompanied by representatives from international governments, to guide students and professionals in their plans to study abroad. In addition, to raise COLFUTURO’s profile both nationally and internationally, we participate in education fairs and maintain ongoing communication with universities through talks and workshops aimed at their academic communities, which are eligible to apply to the PCB. This academic counseling group is also responsible for reviewing and evaluating the graduate programs applied for by candidates in the PCB call for applications. To this end, it continuously monitors the rankings , accreditations, and evaluations of universities, schools, and programs provided by international organizations. Following a detailed analysis, the relevant information is entered into Valpro, a tool developed by COLFUTURO that enables the evaluation of programs participating in the selection process. Regarding international relations, we maintain constant communication with renowned universities abroad and with representatives of international governments. As a result, more than 130 cooperation agreements have been negotiated and entered, enabling PCB beneficiaries to access full scholarships, tuition reductions ranging from 75% to 10%, as well as other forms of support. As a result, thereof, in 2025, nearly US$6,000,000 in scholarships and discounts were secured for COLFUTURO beneficiaries. COLFUTURO 72
